BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — “Several” people have been arrested during an investigation into a Monday shooting that injured a student outside Battle Creek Central High School, police say.
The Battle Creek Police Department did not say how many people were taken into custody, but did say they were arrested on “unrelated charges.” Two stolen guns and a stolen vehicle were also found, police said. They are not looking for any other people of interest, BCDP said, but the investigation is ongoing.

The shooting happened around 2:50 p.m. Monday near the intersection of Champion Street and United Way. BCPD said there was an argument between a group of people in a car and a group on foot, after which shots were fired.
