Adolescent girl arrested after 100 mph chase in stolen truck in Van Buren County

GENEVA TOWNSHIP, Mich. — An adolescent girl was arrested after allegedly taking a stolen truck on a vehicle pursuit Thursday in Van Buren County.

At around 10:20 a.m., deputies from the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office (VBCSO) responded to a stolen vehicle complaint on County Road 388 in Geneva Township.

The caller said an unknown girl had gotten into his truck and drove off while he was outside of the vehicle making a delivery.

Deputies responded to the area and located the truck traveling eastbound on County Road 388 near Grand Junction. A deputy attempted to initiate a traffic stop on the vehicle when the suspect fled, VBCSO said…
