Silent Climb at WMU’s Waldo Stadium honors lives lost on 9/11

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Western Michigan University’s Waldo Stadium in Kalamazoo was the site of a poignant tribute on Saturday to the lives lost on 9/11.

The 9/11 Silent Climb featured participants climbing the bleachers to represent the steps to the top of the World Trade Center.

According to one participant, events like these are necessary to honor those who were lost, along with remembering the lessons learned in the attack’s aftermath.
