Beal City Public Schools held classes yesterday after a late-night bomb threat on Wednesday turned out to be unfounded.
At about 10:25 Wednesday night, a call was made to Isabella County Central Dispatch claiming a bomb was at the school. Investigators quickly linked the phone number to a string of recent swatting calls. Michigan State Police and the Nottawa-Sherman Fire Department arrived on scene, secured the area, and searched the building following safety procedures.
