Police: Man charged with armed robbery in Kalamazoo in September

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — A 20-year-old man was arrested in connection to an armed robbery in Kalamazoo last week, police say.

According to the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety, a seven-count felony warrant was issued for Theodis Nelson Liggion Jr. on Oct. 1, including two counts of armed robbery, three counts of a felony firearm, carrying a concealed weapon and weapons possession by a prohibited person.

Liggion was arrested Oct. 2 and is now facing more charges after having a gun in his possession at the time, KDPS says. Police say he was arraigned Friday and received a $100,000 bond for armed robbery charges and a $250,000 bond on remaining charges.

The robbery happened at a local business on Stadium Drive at around 8:15 p.m. on Sept. 25, KDPS said. According to police, a victim told authorities that Liggion threatened them with a gun and demanded money before leaving on foot…
