OSHTEMO TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Deputies say a suspect is set to be arraigned after a woman was killed and her boyfriend was assaulted in Oshtemo Township.
The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office said it responded to the Mount Royal Townhomes, located near the intersection of S. Drake Road and W. KL Avenue, around 3:30 a.m. Saturday after a neighbor reported “what sounded like a disturbance followed by gunfire.”

Deputies said when they showed up, they found two victims: a woman, who had been shot and was unresponsive, and a man, who had been assaulted. The woman died on scene, according to the sheriff’s office. Her name was not released “due to the sensitive nature of the case and out of respect for the family,” the office said…
