KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — The city of Kalamazoo launched the latest round of its Downtown Vitality Study, a twice-a-year survey tracking visitors’ experiences downtown, Tuesday morning.
The survey asks respondents to rate their experiences downtown to inform decisions about local businesses and community vibrancy. Previous surveys have emphasized the importance of walkability, accessibility, parking and traffic safety measures.
“This survey is about making sure residents and visitors see themselves in the future of downtown,” Christina Anderson, Kalamazoo’s planner and deputy director of community planning and economic development, said in a statement. “Every response gives us a clearer picture of what’s working well and what needs improvement as we prepare for major investments in 2026.”…
