WMU receives $13.7 million grant to support middle schoolers’ college readiness

KALAMAZOO, MI — Western Michigan University received a $13.7 million grant to help middle school students make it to college.

A team of professors at the university will follow the 2025-2026 school year’s 6th and 7th grade students through to their first year of college, providing them with resources to promote college readiness along the way.
