COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Deputies say a minivan and a box truck crashed Friday morning in Comstock Township, sending both drivers to the hospital, after the driver of the minivan dozed off behind the wheel.
It happened around 7:20 a.m. on the 6,400 block of E. N Avenue near S. 26th Street.
According to the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s office, investigators believe the driver of a westbound minivan fell asleep and drifted across the center line. Deputies say the minivan crashed head-on into a box truck, which caused the box truck to roll.
Both drivers had to be extricated, deputies say. They were taken to the hospital with serious injuries…
