KALAMAZOO, Mich. — What is currently a money pit in the heart of Kalamazoo’s downtown is now part of a master plan investment into a vision for the city’s future.
That’s according to Kalamazoo city leaders who say a multimillion-dollar reinvestment into Arcadia Creek Festival Place is the way out of the disrepair that the downtown park has fallen into.
Deputy City Manager Rebekah Kik said the underused site, created in 2003, has become “a challenge for the city in terms of maintenance and operations for several years.”…
