Western Michigan University 5K benefits women’s track

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Western Michigan University capped off homecoming weekend with more than 150 runners braving fog and hilly course.

Hosted by the women’s track team, it was the 5K’s second year back on campus.

The team’s coach said the race was originally known as the Campus Classic before the event was paused for several years.

This year saw an increase in people registering compared to last year’s first running, featuring a little more than 100 runners.
