BENTON TOWNSHIP — Voters in Lake Michigan College’s service area will be asked to renew two millages that officials say are crucial in continuing to provide high-quality education at an affordable cost.
At stake on Nov. 4 is a 20-year renewal of LMC’s current 0.665-mill operating millage, which provides 20 percent of its operating budget – as well as a reduction of its capital millage, from 0.48 to 0.24 mills, effectively cutting it in half.
