MARCELLUS TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Animal control officers have rescued two dogs suffering from apparent neglect in Marcellus Township, deputies say.
On Sept. 30, animal control officers responded to reports of two stray dogs near the 10000 block of Pioneer Street in Marcellus Township. The dogs were found to be “emaciated and dehydrated,” according to a release from the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.
The animals were then examined by a veterinarian who determined that they did not have any parasites or other diseases that would explain their conditions, leading investigators to suspect owner neglect, according to the release…
