Costumed canines gather for SPCA of Southwest Michigan’s spooky Dog-O-Ween event

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — The SPCA of Southwest Michigan in Kalamazoo got a lot spookier on Saturday during their Dog-O-Ween event.

Sponsored by Maple Hill Subaru, dogs and owners from around the area donned costumes for the event, which served as a reunion for some.

“It was just fun to see. A lot of the dogs that showed up were adopted from us. So we love seeing our SPCA alumni,” said Katie Timber, executive director of the SPCA of Southwest Michigan.

“We love our community and just seeing how a dog acclimates to the home, them being pampered and how the family’s doing is wonderful,” added Timber.
