PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A home in the 300 block of Cameo Avenue in Portage has fire damage in the attic and smoke and water damage throughout the home after a fire there early Wednesday morning.
Portage Public Safety was called to the home around 1:45 a.m. and found smoke coming from the roof of the single-story home.
Everyone was able to evacuate safely and crews got the fire contained and under control quickly, and put it out fully about 20 minutes after they arrived…
