Go Forward: Jacqueline Slaby aims to bring Kalamazoo into the future on City Commission

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Making it easier for the Kalamazoo community to work, live and play: that’s the goal for Kalamazoo City Commission hopeful Jacqueline “Jae” Slaby.

A Battle Creek, Mich. native, Slaby, who served as the youngest trustee for Battle Creek Public Schools between 2017-2022, has a record of turning around controversial projects with innovative solutions.

Moving to Kalamazoo shortly after their term ended, Slaby now hopes to make public service within the city “feel like a public invitation.”
