COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, Mich. — An ex-deputy fire chief who plead guilty to seriously injuring an 11-year-old-girl while driving drunk will be sentenced Monday afternoon.

Arrested for operating while intoxicated (OWI) and causing serious injury to 11-year-old La’Shae Parker in June, Comstock Township’s former Deputy Fire Chief Michael Dyer, 63, will receive his sentence Monday after pleading no contest to his charges in September, according to court officials.
After his plea in September, the prosecution agreed to recommend probation with no upfront jail time, the conditions of which are at the judge’s discretion, and restitution for Parker.
