The Portage Department of Public Safety (PDPS) is recruiting certified, experienced police officers through its Lateral Entry Program. Officers who join as lateral transfers are eligible for a $15,000 sign-on bonus and a 5% annual attendance bonus.
Qualified candidates will be hired at an advanced pay step based on their prior full-time experience. Salaries range from $61,611.14 for entry-level officers to $91,014.49 for those at Step F.
