‘We have to help’: City of Kalamazoo launches food drive amid SNAP uncertainty

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — The City of Kalamazoo is hosting a food drive to help meet community food needs.

The drive comes as a result of increasing food insecurities and uncertainty around SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits due to the federal government shutdown, according to a release.

Donations will benefit Kalamazoo Loaves & Fishes.
