Kalamazoo Public Schools hosts wellness fair to support local families and students

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Kalamazoo Public Schools (KPS) held their third annual Around the World Wellness Fair on Saturday.

Held for both KPS students, families, and community members alike, the event was an opportunity for the school district to help the community outside the reaches of the classroom.

“It’s not just about how we can educate students, but also how we can give back to our local community, how we can consider the needs of our families and our students, and how we try to help meet those needs,” said Dr. Lisa Dewey, director of student services at KPS.

The fair offered warm coats, lightly used clothing, shoes, toys, books, giveaways, and more items for local families.
