KALAMAZOO, Mich. — After eight years of serving the community, the food pantry at Milwood United Methodist Church is closing its doors, impacting the resources available to Kalamazoo residents.
Over the years, the pantry has helped thousands of people, but its shelves are now empty.
“It is a bittersweet feeling here as we say thank you for an eight-year ministry that has connected us with our neighbors and has supported folks who are in need while also recognizing that folks are gonna be going to other places receiving other resources,” Rev. Caleb Williams, pastor at Milwood United Methodist Church, said.
