Comstock Township board commissioners are facing pressure from a developer proposing a battery energy storage facility to be located near one of the district’s schools.
After hours of debate, weeks of public hearings, and months of plan reviews, the Comstock Township Planning Commission voted unanimously Thursday night to recommend the approval of an amended ordinance allowing a battery energy storage system (BESS) to be built within the township.
