PORTAGE, Mich. — The City of Portage is focusing on finding affordable housing for its residents.
Stanwood Crossings workforce homes are one of the latest developments. Potential homebuyers have the opportunity to tour the homes at Stanley and Woodbine Avenues Thursday and Friday.
“The amount of work that’s gone into this one project by so many people,” Pete Dame, chief development officer for the City of Portage, said. “I’m just looking forward to seeing people who couldn’t otherwise afford a house be able to move in and take the keys from us and move in.”…
