PORTAGE, Mich. (WOOD) — No one was injured when a freight train and a semi-truck crashed in Portage Tuesday morning.
It happened around 9:20 a.m. along Shaver Road south of Melody Avenue. Authorities say the train came to a stop about 1,000 feet south of the where the crash happened.
The Portage Department of Public Safety says the train hit the semi trailer, ripping it away from the truck, which remained intact.
The semi driver wasn’t hurt…
