KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Western Michigan University students can expect to see a rise in housing and meal rates next fall after the Board of Trustees approved the changes during Thursday’s meeting.
The resolution sets new rates for the Golden Oaks residence hall, which is currently under construction. It also increases 2026-2027 rates by 3.5% for Western Heights residence hall, double occupancy and continuing single traditional rooms in Valley and Henry residence halls. The increase also applies to apartment and meal rates.
However, there is a 5.5% decrease for single traditional rooms in the Valley and Henry residence hall.
