Two bursts of snow in the next 24 hours: Tuesday morning and again Tuesday night

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — After a one day reprieve, snow is coming back to West Michigan!

It has already been a snowy late November and December, and we’re going to add more to the pile this week.

  • Nov. 9: 3 inches
  • Nov. 10: 1 inch
  • Nov. 11: 0.5 inches
  • Nov. 26: 0.75 inches
  • Nov. 27: 2.5 inches
  • Nov. 29: 6.25 inches
  • Nov. 30: 2.75 inches
  • Dec. 1: 0.5 inches
  • Dec. 2: 0.5 inches
  • Dec. 7: 4.7 inches

Snow begins at the Lake Shore around 4 a.m. Tuesday morning. It progresses to US 131 by 5 a.m. and to Battle Creek by 6 a.m.

It’s a quick-moving system, which means most of us will likely see under 1 inch of snowfall by mid to late morning Tuesday.

But, it’s more than enough to make roads slippery for the Tuesday morning commute…
