KALAMAZOO, Mich. — In October, Kalamazoo Gospel Ministries (KGM) announced it would reduce its number of emergency overnight beds to 80 single men and 60 single women, a reduction in nearly 160 beds.
KGM CEO John Simpson said a large reason behind the announcement was to reduce the ratio of staff to guests and for the dignity and safety of them.
