Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office welcomes new K9 Charlie

The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office welcomed a new dog onto its force.

The newest member of their force, Charlie, will enhance the office’s capabilities in community safety, criminal investigations, and emergency response, according to a release.

K9 Charlie is year-and-a-half old German Shepherd from Poland, and is trained in narcotics detection, tracking, apprehension, and article searches. He be partnered with Deputy Cody Bingaman.
