Police: 2 arrested after armed robbery in Kalamazoo

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Two people were arrested in connection to an armed robbery in Kalamazoo on Wednesday night, police say.

At around 8:51 p.m., officers were sent to North Edwards Street after dispatch reported a robbery nearby, according to the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety. A 45-year-old man told authorities he was robbed of his backpack by three people who fled on foot.

Police were later able to identify two suspects, ages 18 and 19, and they were subsequently jailed on armed robbery-related charges, according to KDPS. One also faces a felony firearm charge. They are set to be arraigned Thursday…
