The National Weather Service issued an updated weather alert at 10:12 a.m. EST on Friday for fog until 1 p.m. EST for Cass, St. Joseph, Branch, Hillsdale and Berrien counties.
“Areas of fog, locally dense, will persist through the early afternoon hours. The fog is reducing visibility to one mile or less with some locally dense patches down to a quarter of a mile. Motorists should exercise extra caution, slow down, and allow extra time to reach your destination,” says the weather service.
