Kalamazoo intersection floods, closing road amid heavy rain

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — A Kalamazoo intersection has been closed for flooding, according to police.

Howard Street at Crosstown Parkway is closed Sunday afternoon and evening as heavy rains move through West Michigan. Other streets in the area are experiencing flooding as well, according to the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety.

Windy winter storm hits West Michigan Monday

“Please refrain from attempting to drive through flooded areas as you may find yourself getting stuck,” KDPS wrote in a release.
