Stolen property recovered in Kalamazoo believed to be tied to Storage Center break ins

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A large amount of suspected stolen property recovered in Kalamazoo is believed to be connected to storage unit break-ins, according to the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety (KDPS).

Over the past month, KDPS received reports of multiple storage unit break-ins at Kalamazoo Storage Center on South Burdick Street.

Attempts to get in touch with several effected renters, however, was unsuccessful. As a result, it was unclear what items were stolen in some cases, public safety officers said.
