Record high temperatures are just a tease; snow is back this weekend

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Today began with a hint of spring in the air. Temperatures were surging in the upper 50s and lower 60s.

Today also started with powerful winds sweeping across West Michigan.

The winds were strong enough to create power outages and a Wind Advisory was issued by the National Weather Service.

Some of the highest gusts included:

  • Jackson: 67 mph
  • Saugatuck: 59 mph
  • Ionia: 52 mph
  • Sparta: 52 mph
  • Grand Haven: 47 mph
  • Hopkins: 47 mph

Winds will relax rather rapidly this evening, but pick up again late Saturday into Saturday night…
