MICHIGAN — While county road commissions across Southwest Michigan say they have enough salt to get through the winter, local landscaping companies say a statewide salt shortage is driving up prices and limiting supply for private businesses.
News Channel 3 contacted multiple road commissions, including Kalamazoo, Ottawa, Barry, Allegan, Calhoun, Van Buren and Cass Counties.
All reported they are not currently impacted by the shortage and have sufficient salt for this season…
