On Sunday at 11:07 p.m. EST an updated cold weather advisory was released by the National Weather Service valid from Monday 7 p.m. EST until Tuesday 9 a.m. EST for Ionia, Clinton, Allegan, Barry, Eaton, Ingham, Van Buren, Kalamazoo, Calhoun and Jackson counties.
“Very cold wind chills as low as 20 degrees below expected,” states the weather service. “Winds will increase to 15 to 25 mph Monday night as temperatures drop into the single digits. The combination of cold temperatures and increasing winds will drive wind chill readings into the -15 to -20 range.”…
