Deputies revive unresponsive 10-year-old child in Calhoun County

PENNFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A 10-year-old child was revived after being found outside and unresponsive on Saturday, Jan. 24.

At around 6 a.m., deputies from the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) responded to a medical assist complaint at a residence on Taylor Trace.

Deputies located a 10-year-old child outside of the residence, who was unresponsive and without a pulse, CCSO said in a release. Deputies immediately began lifesaving measures including CPR while updating dispatch.

The child was able to regain a pulse and began breathing independently. LifeCare Ambulance and the Pennfield Fire Department arrived shortly after, and provided advanced medical care.
