KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Detectives with the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety (KDPS) say they are looking for a person they believe was involved in a homicide late Sunday night.
Officers were called to Reed Street near South Burdick Street around 10 p.m. after someone reported they heard gunfire and that a person had been shot, police said.
There, investigators said a 31-year-old man was found laying on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound to his upper back. He was taken to the hospital, but died shortly after getting there.
