PORTAGE, Mich. — Officers with the Portage Department of Public Safety answered an unusual — but not unheard of — call Monday night.
A caller reported around 8 p.m. they heard a woman yelling in a parking lot off of Austrian Pine Way near Romence Road, police said.

When officers arrived, they found that she was in the process of giving birth and were able to help during the final stages of delivery.
