On Friday at 3:25 a.m. EST the National Weather Service released an updated winter weather advisory in effect until 1 p.m. EST for Clare, Isabella, Gratiot, Ionia, Clinton, Barry, Eaton, Ingham, Van Buren, Kalamazoo, Calhoun and Jackson counties.
“Mixed precipitation. Additional snow accumulations up to one inch and ice accumulations around a light glaze,” can be expected according to the weather service. “Light freezing drizzle occurring across the area will transition to light snow through 7 am this morning.”
“Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday morning commute,” says the weather service. “Slow down and use caution while traveling.”
