KALAMAZOO COUNTY, MI — Two townships have filed lawsuits against a water authority, alleging unfair treatment, while looking for a way out.
Ross Township and Richland Township allege they are being kept out of the decision-making process of the Gull Lake Sewer & Water Authority, even though they make up the majority of ratepayers.
Ross, Richland, Barry, Cooper and Prairieville townships are members of the authority that provide water and sewer services in the area. Barry and Prairieville townships are in Barry County while the others are in Kalamazoo County…
