DAYTON, Ohio — The Western Michigan women’s tennis team split road matches at Cincinnati and Dayton on Saturday and Sunday, falling to the Bearcats, 5-2, and rebounding to down the Flyers, 6-1.
In the loss at Cincinnati, senior Audrey Smitek and sophomore Marielou Baudouin picked up WMU’s points. Smitek earned a 4-6, 6-3, 7-5 win at No. 3 over Ana Arsic. Baudouin won 5-7, 6-3, 1-0 (11-9) at No. 5 over Tara Kurepa.
The Broncos rolled to victory at Dayton on Sunday. WMU took the doubles point with Lola Glantz and Frida Weijerman taking the early advantage with a 6-1 win at No. 1 over Natalie Osiecki and Montserrat Sierra.
