The Calhoun County Land Bank Authority is accepting applications for its 2026 Neighborhood Mow & Maintenance Program, which helps maintain vacant properties in Battle Creek and Albion while supporting nonprofit and community groups, according to a community announcement.
The program offers funding to organizations that mow and maintain 20 vacant properties from April through October. Groups are required to mow the properties at least once every three weeks. Those who complete the program will receive a $3,600 stipend.
