PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A pair of teens face charges, including one for possession of a firearm, after fleeing from Portage police Thursday.
According to a news release, officers with the Portage Department of Public Safety were dispatched to the 2100 block of Lovebird Court for a report of two juvenile males smoking marijuana near an apartment building. The caller also reported that one of the juveniles was in possession of a firearm.
As officers arrived in the area, one officer entered the apartment building and heard a commotion upstairs. On the second floor the officer found a juvenile male hanging from a second-story window. The juvenile jumped from the window, landed outside, and fled on foot…
