160 workers to be laid off as Comstock Township factory shuts down in March

COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A Southwest Michigan manufacturing plant will be closing its doors next month, according to a document released by the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity (LEO).

Grouper Acquisition Company, LLC which operates as Shiloh Industries, announced Feb. 2 that it will close its plant at 9000 E. Michigan Ave. in Comstock Township near Galesburg on March 31.

As a result of the closure, 160 employees will be laid off, documents detailed.
