KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Several dozen members of the People’s Food Co-Op in Kalamazoo brought their concerns over an ongoing transition to board members Tuesday night.
While this month’s meeting with the board of directors was virtual, a pool of members, officially called owners, gathered at a rented space on Kalamazoo College’s campus to watch in person, with the crowd swelling to more than 50.
Store and co-op officials shared the recent finances of the storefront, saying that they have seen two years of negative profits requiring changes and an audit. Some in the crowd looked frustrated.
