PAW PAW TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Deputies say a Paw Paw-area golf course green was destroyed when a vehicle drove on it, gouging muddy tire marks into its surface.
Around 3 a.m. Sunday, the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office said an “unknown vehicle” drove onto the course at Lake Cora Hills Golf Club in Paw Paw Township, causing “significant damage” to the No. 10 green.
Surveillance cameras caught what looked to be a white pickup truck turning north onto County Road 671 from Red Arrow Highway and then steering onto the course, tearing up the green, deputies said.
Deputies say the green is unusable and could cost between $15,000 and $40,000 to repair, although the damage is still being evaluated…
