UNION CITY, Mich. — Helping hands are pouring in from every corner of the Union City community as families face the aftermath of the deadly tornado that tore through nearly one week ago.
Local resident, Jared Dow, has shifted clean up efforts from land to lake, clearing piles of debris from Union Lake by using his canoe.
“I got load after load, and then eventually it wound up being quite a bit,” Dow said. “I’ve spent a lot of time getting stuff that had sunk, stuff that doesn’t float.”…
