On Monday at 11:08 a.m. EDT the National Weather Service issued an updated wind advisory in effect until 11 p.m. EDT for Osceola, Clare, Mecosta, Isabella, Montcalm, Gratiot, Ionia, Clinton, Allegan, Barry, Eaton, Ingham, Van Buren, Kalamazoo, Calhoun and Jackson counties.
The weather service says to prepare for, “Northwest wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph.”
“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” explains the weather service. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”
