March entered in like a lion, with several deadly tornadoes hitting southern Michigan during the first week.
A couple of hours before the tornadoes touched down in Cass, St. Joseph, Branch and Calhoun counties, the Chippewa-Martiny Fire Department posted a reminder to residents on the importance of having a severe weather plan in place.
“As we roll into March it is good to go over plans for storm season,” it wrote on its Facebook page. “If a tornado warning was issued how would you receive it?”
