A Menards Self-Storage facility in Three Rivers, Michigan, was severely damaged by a tornado on March 6. The National Weather Service reported that the twister was rated an EF-2, with winds speeds at 130 mph, according to sources.

The storm happened at 3:50 p.m. and destroyed dozens of self-storage units at 1400 Warner Drive. It also ripped off part of the roof at the adjacent Menards home-improvement store and punched a hole in the side of the building. Additionally, hundreds of other structures were affected in a 2-mile span, debris was scattered across the area, and trees and power lines were downed. Ten people were injured in Three Rivers.

The state reported four tornadoes across Branch, Calhoun, Cass and St. Joseph Counties in Southwest Michigan during the March 6 supercell storm.
